The Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers Christmas Ornament

The Wizard Of Oz Ruby Slippers Christmas Ornament brings together three of the film’s most memorable visual ideas in one theatrical Christmas design: the ruby slipper, the Yellow Brick Road, and Emerald City.

Rather than treating the slipper as a simple decorative shape, the artwork turns it into a miniature world of Oz.

The Road to Emerald City Hidden Inside the Slipper

The ruby-red high-heel silhouette immediately establishes the design, but the real story unfolds within it.

A miniature Yellow Brick Road begins near the front of the shoe and winds toward a cluster of emerald-green towers, creating the impression that the journey to Oz has been built directly into the slipper itself.

That layered concept gives the ornament much more personality than a standard flat movie graphic.

87 Years of Oz

The 1939 film The Wizard of Oz became one of the most enduring fantasy films in American cinema. In 2026, the film reaches its 87th anniversary, making the 1939–2026 wording historically consistent with the movie’s release year.

The anniversary theme gives the ornament extra meaning for longtime fans, especially those who grew up watching the film as part of family traditions or holiday television.

Why the Design Feels So Nostalgic

The strongest part of this ornament is how many familiar Oz memories it brings together without needing a full character scene.

The slipper suggests Dorothy’s journey.

The road suggests the adventure itself.

Emerald City represents the destination.

Together, those symbols make the ornament feel less like a simple piece of movie merchandise and more like a miniature visual retelling of the story.

A Distinctive Piece for an Oz-Themed Tree

Its shaped silhouette makes it especially suited to:

• Classic movie Christmas trees
• Wizard of Oz collections
• Fantasy-themed displays
• Red-and-gold holiday décor
• Collector shelves
• Nostalgic family ornament collections

The gold-tone hanging chain completes the theatrical presentation and keeps the ruby-slipper shape as the main visual focus.

Care

Dust the ornament gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed.

Handle the shaped edges and hanging chain carefully during decorating and storage, and keep the ornament in a dry indoor location away from rough contact or abrasive cleaners.
