Holden 170th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

I Thought I’d Pick My Favorite Car First. I Ended Up Following the Whole Timeline.

My eyes went straight to the cars.

There’s a cream vintage model at the beginning, then turquoise, blue, yellow, orange and red vehicles. Keep moving through the display and the shapes gradually become more modern.

That’s when the Holden 170th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar becomes more interesting than a row of miniature cars.

It feels like someone took pieces from different periods of Holden motoring and parked them all around the Christmas tree.

Then, just when you think you’ve figured out the collection, the bottom row switches things up with commemorative ornaments.

From Vintage Curves to Modern Holden-Inspired Cars

The vehicle variety is the strongest part of the pictured collection.

Rather than repeating one car in different colors, the display moves through noticeably different body styles. There are rounded vintage cars, classic sedans, performance-inspired models, a yellow panel van, a racing-livery design, a red utility vehicle and several later-generation cars.

Even the colors help separate them.

Cream and pale blue give some of the older-looking pieces a nostalgic feel. Bright yellow, orange and red make the middle rows much louder, while blue, silver, white and darker shades give the later designs their own identity.

One miniature even uses a Christmas-themed racing-style livery, which feels perfectly at home in an Advent calendar.

For a Holden fan, I can imagine opening each day and immediately trying to work out which period or styling cue that day’s car is referencing.

Then the Countdown Leaves the Garage

The lower portion of the pictured set adds a different kind of collectible.

Instead of another row of vehicles, there are Holden-themed hanging ornaments featuring anniversary and Christmas imagery.

The designs shown include a wreath-style emblem, a wrapped Christmas present, a decorated Christmas tree, a round Holden badge ornament and a license-plate-inspired “HOLDEN 170” piece.

There’s also another vintage-car ornament carrying the anniversary treatment.

That change keeps the collection from feeling like nothing more than a miniature car assortment.

Some pieces belong on a display shelf.

Others look ready for the Christmas tree.

The Box Feels Like Christmas at an Old Holden Dealership

This might actually be my favorite detail.

The packaging artwork doesn’t rely on a generic snowy background. Instead, it depicts a Holden-themed showroom decorated for Christmas, with cars parked outside and a large tree surrounded by gifts.

Across the front are the prominent words:

HOLDEN
1856–2026
170 YEARS
AUSTRALIA’S OWN CAR

The bottom finishes the presentation with “Christmas Advent Calendar 2026.”

Black, red, gold and warm Christmas lighting give the box a heritage-collector feel rather than the playful appearance of a typical children’s Advent calendar.

This Is the Kind of Countdown I’d Keep Displayed in January

December gives the collection its reason to be opened gradually.

But once everything is out, I wouldn’t put it back in storage immediately.

I’d line the miniature cars up roughly from vintage-inspired to modern-inspired designs, then move the hanging pieces onto the Christmas tree. After the holidays, the vehicles could stay together as a small motoring display.

That’s what I like about the concept: the countdown is temporary, but the collection doesn’t have to be.

170 Years Is a Big Story to Fit Under a Christmas Tree

That’s why the variety matters.

One miniature car couldn’t tell it.

Neither could five versions of the same model.

The Holden 170th Anniversary Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar is much more fun when viewed as a collection of changing shapes, colors and motoring eras, with the Christmas ornaments adding a commemorative finish.

I’d probably start December trying to guess which car comes next.

By Christmas, I’d be rearranging the whole collection into my own Holden timeline.
