Steelers It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year Shirt

Some People Wait All Year for Christmas. I Get It — But Football Season Comes First.

The first thing that made me smile about this shirt wasn’t even the big Steelers lettering.

It was the line above it:

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

Usually, that sentence makes you think of Christmas lights and December. Here, though, the scene underneath tells a completely different story.

There’s an autumn tree covered in orange leaves and a group of cartoon friends walking together in football-inspired outfits. Even the little dog has joined the procession. The black background makes the orange, white and yellow artwork stand out without turning the whole shirt into one giant block of color.

It basically says what plenty of Pittsburgh fans are already thinking once football returns: this is the wonderful time of year.

It Feels More Like a Fall Tradition Than Just a Football Graphic

What I like about the design is that it doesn’t rely on a huge logo alone.

The falling-leaf atmosphere gives it that September-through-November feeling—the part of football season that comes with cooler weekends, family get-togethers and planning the day around kickoff.

Then there are the comic-style characters. Their simple walking scene keeps the design lighthearted instead of making it look like another serious piece of game-day merchandise.

And underneath everything, Steelers appears in large gold lettering, so there’s no missing the Pittsburgh inspiration.

The Kind of Shirt I’d Keep Near the Front of the Closet

Black jeans, sneakers, this shirt. That’s enough.

I’d wear it for a football weekend, a casual watch party, a fall outing or just around the house when the game is on. The autumn artwork also gives it a longer seasonal window than a design tied to one particular matchup or score.

For a Steelers fan who considers football season a season of its own, the joke lands pretty naturally.
