Mahjong Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

This Looks Like Christmas at the House Where Nobody Leaves Before One More Game

The tree is lit.

The fireplace is going.

There are snacks somewhere nearby.

And somebody at the table has just said, “One more round.”

That is exactly the mood I get from the Mahjong Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar.

Instead of treating Mahjong as just a pattern to place on 24 similar pieces, the collection builds a miniature Christmas world around the game. The packaging even calls it “Mahjong Christmas Game Night – 24 Days of Holiday Tile Treasures.”

Suddenly, counting down to Christmas feels a lot like waiting for everyone to sit down at the table.

The Mahjong Tiles Are Only the Beginning

The first pieces that caught my attention were the oversized tile-inspired designs decorated with familiar character-style markings, bamboo imagery and festive floral details.

But then the collection gets much more playful.

Santa and Mrs. Claus appear holding little Mahjong tiles. A snowman joins them, followed by an elf, a Christmas cat and a dog in Santa hats.

Further down, there are miniature game tables surrounded by chairs, a tea setup, a fortune-cookie-inspired piece, a gift box, a fireplace and other Christmas-and-Mahjong scenes.

There are even dragon and phoenix designs among the pictured pieces, giving the display another decorative layer beyond the traditional Christmas characters.

The variety is what makes the collection fun to look through. One day might reveal something unmistakably Mahjong-inspired; the next feels like a tiny scene from a family Christmas gathering.

My Favorite Part Might Be the Tiny Game Tables

A single Mahjong tile makes sense as a collectible.

A miniature game table with chairs around it tells a story.

Several of the pictured pieces lean into that game-night atmosphere, with tiny tables, tiles and seating arranged as though a match could begin at any moment. One even carries the message:

“Game Night Makes a Brighter Tomorrow.”

Another reads:

“Mahjong Brings Us Together.”

Those little phrases fit the overall concept surprisingly well. The calendar isn’t only about the game itself—it is also about the people sitting around the table.

Red, Green and Gold Make It Feel Properly Christmas

Visually, the collection leans heavily into classic holiday styling.

Deep green, rich red and gold details appear throughout the box and individual designs. Holly, bows, wreaths, stockings, Christmas trees and fireplace scenes connect the Mahjong theme with the season.

The presentation has an almost cozy game-room feeling rather than the bright toy-box look of many Advent calendars.

I can picture the pieces gradually taking over a shelf, mantel or tabletop as December moves along.

Day one: one little tile.

Day twelve: half a Mahjong Christmas village.

Day twenty-four: apparently the whole family has arrived for game night.

For the Family That Measures Christmas in Games, Not Just Days

There is something fitting about combining an Advent calendar with a game associated with sitting together around a table.

The Mahjong Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar takes that social side of Mahjong and gives it a Christmas setting. The tiles establish the theme, but the miniature tables, holiday characters and cozy decorative scenes are what make the collection feel like a little celebration rather than simply 24 game symbols.

It would be especially fun for the Mahjong player who already has the tiles, the table and a regular group of opponents—but could still use 24 tiny reasons to talk about Mahjong throughout December.

And knowing game night, opening the Advent calendar may be the quickest part of the evening.
