New York Knicks Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar

New York Knicks Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar – This Feels Like Christmas in New York, Not Just a Basketball Countdown

The first thing I noticed wasn’t actually one of the basketball figures.

It was the tiny yellow NYC taxi with the Christmas wreath.

Then I spotted the subway car. Madison Square Garden. The Brooklyn Bridge-inspired piece. The Statue of Liberty-style ornament.

And suddenly the whole idea made sense.

The New York Knicks Christmas 2026 Advent Calendar isn’t simply a box filled with variations of the same basketball design. The pictured 24-piece collection moves between Knicks basketball culture, recognizable New York imagery and Christmas details, so opening each day can reveal something genuinely different from the day before.

The First Row Is Pure Game Night

The basketball theme comes through immediately with a lineup of six player-inspired hanging pieces in white New York uniforms.

Each has its own pose. Some are shown handling the basketball, another is going up with the ball overhead, and another celebrates with one finger raised.

Below them, the collection moves away from players and into the details around the game: a Knicks basketball, jersey, sneaker, basketball hoop, Let’s Go Knicks pennant and a cheerful team-themed character.

I like this approach much more than having 24 nearly identical player pieces. It gives the set some rhythm.

Then New York City Gets Its Own Row

This might be my favorite part of the collection.

The next group turns the calendar into a miniature tour of New York, with designs inspired by the city skyline, Madison Square Garden, an NYC taxi, subway transportation, a bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

Those pieces make the calendar feel especially connected to the city rather than simply using blue and orange because they’re familiar team colors.

Placed together on a Christmas tree, they could create a small New York section all on their own.

The Final Pieces Bring Christmas Back Into the Story

After all that basketball and city imagery, the last group shifts completely into holiday mode.

There’s a decorated Christmas tree, a Knicks stocking, a snowman dressed in blue and orange, a wrapped present and another wreath-like Christmas tree design. The final piece uses a gold trophy-inspired design with New York Knicks displayed at the base.

So by the time all 24 days have been opened, the collection has moved through three little worlds:

Knicks basketball. New York City. Christmas.

That’s what makes this calendar visually fun to me. You aren’t waiting 24 days just to discover another variation of the same object.

FAQ

How many surprises are included in the calendar?

The pictured calendar presents a 24-day countdown with 24 different designs, giving you one piece for each day.

Are all 24 designs basketball players?

No. That’s one of the more interesting parts of this set. The pictured collection combines player-inspired pieces with basketball gear, New York City imagery and Christmas-themed designs.

Can the pieces be displayed after the countdown?

The pictured pieces have hanging loops, so they are designed with seasonal hanging display in mind. They can become part of the holiday display rather than disappearing once the countdown is finished.

Are the player figures specific real Knicks players?

The artwork shows basketball figures wearing different New York jersey numbers, but I would present them as player-inspired designs rather than identify them as specific real athletes based only on the image.
